Any suggestions for our Summer Party Venue?
We're looking for a venue for our End of Summer Party in the East End of Glasgow. Does anyone have any suggestions on where we can hold the party? Ideally, we'd like to have a venue that has facilities for a BBQ and outdoor games but it would also be handy if there was some space undercover in case of the dreaded but almost certain Glasgow rain (fingers crossed it doesn't). Any advice/suggestions would be fantastic.
Our Summer Party is one of the highlights in the With Kids calender and marks the end of our Summer Programme. It's also a time where the kids and families and all of our supporters can kick back and enjoy themselves.
If you can think of avenue in the East End of Glasgow that has space for a BBQ and outdoor games then please let us know. Please post your suggestions on our Facebook and Twitter. Or you can email Suzy on s.blair@withkids.org.uk.

Facing the problems: Video
In this video Jo and Lindsay go through how problems, no matter how big or small must be faced and not ignored under any circumstances
Lindsay talks about how it can be hard for young children to talk about traumatic experiences they may have had, because of Glasgow's "Macho Image"
Jo and Lindsay often find themselves trying to get the kids to open up to them and help them face their problems.

Not just for Kids: Video
Many people think we only take care of the children in poverty stricken areas of the East End, but we have many activities on for their parents as well.
Parents themselves have their own problems, and without a little down time for themselves, they won't be able to give their full attention to the children..

What do we do?: Video
Play therapy can help children with a variety of difficulties, including but not limited to the following:- emotional difficulties, behavioural difficulties, relationship difficulties, abuse or trauma, communication difficulties, illness or disability, family breakdown, bereavement and low self esteem.
This for of therapy is used to communicate with children about their thoughts, feelings and behaviour. The playroom contains a large selection of play materials from which the child can choose, the child leads the session and is not put under any pressure to talk about their difficulties.

What is Movement Therapy ?: Video
We find ourselves being asked "What do With Kids do?". So we have brought two of our therapists together to give you a better idea of what therapy is carried out at With Kids.
So we have asked, Jo Orr a Movement Therapist and Lindsay Paterson a Play Therapist, to talk to you about what it is they do and explain more about the service they provide. Here, Jo explains what Movement Therapy is.
